To be eligible for the Roy J. Zuckerberg Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: • Be a full-time student enrolled at UMass Amherst • Must demonstrate extraordinary achievement in academics, athletics, and community service. • Overall GPA of 3.25. • Open to any majors. • There is no residency requirement, with preference given to out of state students.

Scholarship Background Information
The Roy J. Zuckerberg Scholarship Fund was established in 2010 in honor and recognition of his leadership as Chair of the University of Massachusetts Foundation Investment Committee and his longstanding commitment to the University and its students. Roy Zuckerberg graduated from Lowell Technological Institute in 1958 with a B.S. in Textile Sales. He began his distinguished career at Goldman Sachs in 1967. He chaired the Investment Committee of the University of Massachusetts Foundation for ten years. In 1994 Mr. Zuckerberg received the University's Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Massachusetts, and in 2002 he received the President's Medal. In 1999 the University of Massachusetts Lowell honored him with a Doctor of Humane Letters.
