Auxiliary Enterprises Marketing Internship: The Auxiliary Enterprises (AE) Internship is designed for students who have a passion for UMass and the award-winning services we offer including UMass Dining, Hotel UMass, UMass Catering, Events & Conference Services, and Sustainability. We are looking for individuals looking to gain valuable, hands-on marketing experience and skills that will make them stand out in future job interviews. AE aims to inspire, influence, and impact students interested in graphic design, video production, copywriting, social media, nutrition, and sustainability. We look for students with: • The ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as part of a team • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, Social Media, PowerPoint, Survey Monkey or Qualtrics, (After Effects a plus) • An eye for creative designs for digital, print, and social media • Creative and innovative ideas Job Description: • Develop short, engaging video quickly tailored for IG Reels and TikTok • Creates flyers, logos, and mockup design projects • Develop email newsletters and schedules for distribution • Organizes marketing materials for events • Event set-up and break down • Develop surveys and analyze data • Strong writing and communication skills tailored for social media platforms • Ability to think creatively and visually with regards to the presentation of content • Should possess experience with established social platforms including: TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn • Lead social media engagement efforts across all platforms • Track analytics for each of our social media platforms • Assists in increasing social media followers on each channel • Develop templates and a yearly calendar of events to track and forecast upcoming events • Participate in debrief meetings and take notes for next year planning • Be comfortable working with retail managers and design team to develop graphic design projects • Conduct marketing audits for Auxiliary Enterprises • Great customer service and comfortable in social setting • Commit to fast-paced culinary event planning • Maintain a “can do” attitude Every shift comes with one YCMP meal swipe.
