Support Center Summer Program Facilitator Job Overview: This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a student focused, support team. The summer program is centered around non-academic engagement, meeting new friends and having fun! The program will run Tuesday-Thursday from 7/12/22-8/11/22; students will be present from 10-2 and the facilitator hours will be from 9-2:30. The Support Center Summer Program Facilitator will be responsible for facilitating middle and high school students through a variety of projects (from building and planting garden beds to ‘messy’ art projects), games, team building activities and field trips. The Support Center Summer Program Facilitator will be working directly with some of the most challenged students and must be able to build relationships with students and staff in order to best support students. Responsibilities: Direct academic/social support for individual and small group work Support students in working through a variety of projects Facilitate team building activities and promote students making social connections Work collaboratively with school staff and administration In-person at the support center in Hadley, MA Tuesday-Thursday Travel for outings/field trips Qualifications: Associates/Bachelor Degree in Education preferred 3 years of experience working with middle and high school students with a wide range of challenges including but not limited to Autism and/or emotional or intellectual disabilities Excellent communication and organizational skills Proficient with computer technology Ability to take direction/guidance from Student Outreach Coordinator, Coordinator of the Hadley Support Center Ability to interact, communicate, and collaborate professionally in a positive manner with students, parents/Learning Coach, and staff Needs to be comfortable and confident interfacing with the community.
