We are looking motivated, enthusiastic and responsible student workers who are enrolled in Health Science Programs and would be interested in assisting the Certified Medical Assistants within the University Health Services Walk-in Clinic during evening and weekend shifts. Shifts will be scheduled during the following times: Mon-Fri: 4:30pm-8:30pm Sat/Sun: 10:30am-5:30pm Responsibilities: • Weigh patients • Obtain vital signs • Prepare patients for the provider visit • Obtain/ label patient specimens • Perform basic lab tests within the clinic (point of care testing for blood glucose, urine dips) • Perform EKG’s • Assist patients to the lab and/or radiology • Stock the clinic Prior healthcare experience preferred. Training would be provided on-site by working with one of our Certified Medical Assistants (CMA’s). Applicants must be undergraduate students at UMass Amherst.
