Student Gardener at the Kinney Center for Interdisciplinary Renaissance Studies ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Renaissance Center seeks an undergraduate student to help maintain our Renaissance kitchen garden. Student gardener will work with the Renaissance of the Earth fellow to create and care for a historic Renaissance kitchen garden, including mulching, weeding, and irrigation as needed. Position requires interest and some experience in working outdoors on agricultural projects, flexibility, and ability to work on a team. You must also be available during the summer (flexible dates and times). QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Must be a current undergraduate student. PREFERRED SKILLS: Attention to detail, interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, dependable, punctual. Ideal candidates will have a range of interests such as Renaissance history and culture, agricultural and earth sciences, sustainable food and farming, book history, women’s history, landscape architecture, natural resource conservation, & plant, soil, and insect sciences.
